Nysse service will change on 7 January

The tram line 1 from Santalahti to Lentävänniemi will start on Tuesday 7 January. Line 1 will then run through the city from Lentävänniemi via Niemenranta, Hiedanranta and Santalahti to Keskustori and then to Kauppi Campus.

There will also be changes to the bus lines. The main changes are related to the extension of the tram network to the west and will affect the Lielahti-Lentävänniemi and Ylöjärvi areas. Bus lines will be changed to avoid running alongside the extended tram line. The number of changes will increase, but at the same time the frequency of services will be improved, making it easier to use public transport.

You can see all the changes below. Take a look!

Changing in Hiedanranta

Hiedanranta's tram and bus stops are on the same level, so changing from one mode of transport to another is easy and partly sheltered from the weather. The timetables of tram and bus lines 21, 22 and 81 are coordinated, so you don't have to wait long for a connection.

In the direction of the city centre, the transfer from the bus to the tram takes place on a shared platform. The Hiedanranta bus stop has a pedestrian crossing from the city centre for safe access.

There is no service at Hiedanranta stop at night. Bus 20, which stops at Paasikiventie, runs between Lentävänniemi, Lielahti, Santalahti and the city centre.

There is also a bicycle park and free parking for around 120 cars. The parking time is 12 hours.
