Instructions for filming in Nysse traffic

Do you want to shoot or organise a photo shoot on board Nysse? Take a look at our instructions for filming.

Notification

Please notify Nysse in advance by email to joli.viestinta@tampere.fi.

Please let us know the date of the shoot and the lines on which the shoot will take place. If you need help with lines or scheduling, please contact us at least one week before the shoot.

Permissions

Public transport is a public space where photography is generally allowed.

The public transport authority cannot grant permission to film individuals, so the photographer must obtain permission from each person who appears in the pictures or videos.

During the journey, the driver and ticket inspectors are granted time to concentrate on their safe work. It is forbidden to film the bus or tram driver and ticket inspectors while they are on duty.

Filming near the tramway

Please note this information about photography and video recording near tramways:

• It is forbidden to stand on the track and film.
• When filming, please maintain a safety distance of at least 2 metres from the outermost tram rails. At tram stops, you can film closer.
• If you are using electrically conductive equipment (e.g. selfie sticks) when taking photos, maintain a safety distance of at least 1.5 metres from all tramway structures and trams. Note: The use of electrically conductive equipment above power line structures is prohibited without a power cut.
• Drone filming above power line structures is prohibited. When shooting from the side with a drone, maintain a minimum safety distance of 1.5 m from power line structures. When drone shooting over power line structures, maintain a minimum safety distance of 3 metres. If the drone falls near the power line structures, inform Tampere Tramway Ltd. immediately.
• Do not hesitate to ask Tampere Tramway Ltd. for help. If you wish to carry out special filming, please contact info@tampereenraitiotie.fi and ask for permission. For photographers, we recommend free online training on the safety of trams. The training takes about 20 minutes.

Right to travel

All persons boarding a vehicle must purchase a ticket when filming inside the vehicle.

The ticket or means of payment must be validated using the ticket device at the start of each journey. Passengers travelling without a valid ticket or means of payment may be charged a penalty fee of €80.

Event on a bus or tram?

Ensuring a smooth and disruptive travel experience is a top priority for Nysse, which is why events and activities cannot be organised on board Nysse.

Performances and events are organised in Taideratikka, coordinated by Tampere Tramway Ltd. or Nysse.

It is possible to buy advertising space at the advertising displays to promote your campaigns.
