A major street renovation will begin in Irjala, preventing buses from traveling on Irjalankatu between Sammon valtatie and Varsakatu. Line 16 will switch to a detour route on March 10, 2025, which is expected to last until the end of October. Stops around Irjala daycare and school will be excluded from the route.

The normal route runs between Kauppi campus and Ruotula up to Ali-Huikkaantie. The detour route will be as follows:

• From Ruotula to Takahuhti: Ali-Huikkaantie - Lautasenkatu (stop Kuusenmäenrinne 9948) - Kuusenmäenrinne (stop Huhmarinrinne 9946) - Huhmarinkatu (stop Huhmarinkatu 9944) - Kourutaltankatu (main stop Irjala 5055)
• From Takahuhti to Ruotula: Kourutaltankatu (starting stop Irjala 5055) - Huhmarinkatu (stop Huhmarinkatu 9943) - Kuusenmäenrinne (stop Huhmarinne 9945) - Lautasenkatu (stop Kuusenmäenrinne 5137) - Ali-Huikkaantie

The detour schedules will be published in the Nysse Journey Planner as soon as possible. The detour route will be visible in the timetable service only from March 10, 2025.

The following streets and stops will be excluded from the route:
