Easy. Cheap. Carefree.

City bikes offer a fast way to move around during both free time and on business trips. 

The 2025 city bike season in brief:

  • The easy-to-use Tampereen kaupunkipyörät app
  • 115 city bike stations. New stations will open in Lielahti and Lentävänniemi.
  • NEW: A single-trip fee of €2 to use the city bike for one trip.
  • As a new service, companies can also order city bikes for their employees.

Download the app

For use, you need the Tampereen kaupunkipyörät application. The app, which was renewed last year, remains the same. Make sure you have the updated version.

The Tampere city bike has a white frame and black saddle, handlebars and body. The body and frame have Sale bike signs.

Prices 2025

Choose the pass that is most suitable for you

  • €2 /single-trip fee (one trip) 
  • €5 /day (24 hours) 
  • €10 /month (30 days) 
  • €30 /season (until 31 October) 

A single-trip fee covers a single trip of up to 60 minutes. 

Daily, monthly and seasonal passes include an unlimited number of trips of up to 60 minutes.

Additional charges for all passes

  • If you ride the bike for more than 60 minutes at a time, you will be charged €1 for each additional 30 minutes.
  • The maximum ride time is 5 hours. If you exceed 5 hours, the extra fee is €80.

The pass is available from the moment of purchase. However, the time included in the pass starts to run when the city bike is used for the first time.

You can only unlock one bike at a time. Each user must personally register in the app and purchase their own pass.

1. Download the app and buy access rights

  1. Download the Tampereen kaupunkipyörät app (Google Play or App Store).
  2. Register as a user in the app and purchase the desired journey product (day, month or season).
  3. You need your contact details and payment card information to use city bikes.

You can only unlock one bike at a time. Every user must register personally in the app and purchase their own licence.

2. Start your journey

Open the Tampereen kaupunkipyörät app and select a city bike station from the map in the app. Unlock the bike by reading the QR code of the bike using the app’s QR code reader. The lock opens and your trip can begin.

3. Ride

You can ride for 60 minutes at a time at no extra charge.

  • A single-trip fee covers a single trip of up to 60 minutes. 
  • Daily, monthly and seasonal passes include an unlimited number of trips of up to 60 minutes. If you want to ride the bike longer than 60 minutes without extra charges, return the bike to any city bike station, end the ride using the app and start a new ride with another or the same bike.

If you ride the bike for more than 60 minutes at a time, your payment card will be charged according to the pricing list. The maximum ride time is 5 hours. If you exceed 5 hours, the extra fee is EUR 80.

4. Return

  1. You can return the bike to any city bike station.
  2. Finish your trip in the app.
  3. Lock the bike and wait for confirmation that your trip has ended.
